Five more COVID-19 deaths, 149 new cases
Jamaica on Thursday recorded five more COVID-19 deaths, pushing the tally to 116.
One of the cases was previously under investigation.
And one new fatality is being probed.
Those who have died are:
* A 79-year-old female from St Catherine.
* A 71-year-old female from St Catherine.
* A 76-year-old male from St Catherine.
* A 99-year-old male from St Catherine.
* A 94-year-old female from St Catherine.
Meanwhile, there were 149 new cases with ages ranging from 11 days to 88 years, pushing the total to 6,704 with 4,386 being active.
Of the new cases, 66 are males and 82 are females, with one case under investigation.
In the meantime, there were 121 more recoveries, increasing the total to 2,112.
Some 129 persons are in hospital with 33 being moderately ill and 15 critically ill.
Twelve persons are in government quarantine, while 20,589 are at home.
