Merritone Disco, which is this year celebrating 70 musical years, kept their promise to give a little financial assistance to four persons in the entertainment industry, with funds donated by the Merritone family during their virtual celebration on November 20. The recipients: Gladdy ‘Wild Bunch’ Parker, Sarina Constantine, Keisha Patterson and Errol ‘Bird’ Bailey, were officially presented with their care packages at a small handing-over ceremony last Thursday. “I feel great that Merritone is able to assist, and I am anxious to do more. We are our brothers’ keeper, and giving is absolutely in the Merritone DNA,” Merritone owner Monte Blake told The Gleaner.
