Cease spreading rumours

Published:Thursday | August 26, 2021 | 12:08 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Your Editorial today, titled ‘Al Miller’s tawdry performance’ , is spot on and is a frank, firm and brave confrontation of a member of the clergy, who has put forward a theory and alleged facts not grounded in any information available on vaccine for COVID-19.

It is of interest to note that the Reverend Al Miller has not offered any solution from a religious point of view for the COVID-19 pandemic now devastating the land.

Rev Miller should be challenged to invite infected persons to his church for him to use the power of prayer to heal them. There are several religious leaders all over the world who, prior to the advent of COVID-19, declared their unchallenged competence to successfully pray for the healing of all types of malady, and these religious leaders/pastors have grown wealthy beyond imagination by virtue of their healing powers.

Rev Miller should let us know if he is prepared to bring his power of healing the sick by prayer to bear on the COVID-19 pandemic now haunting ‘Jamaica, Land We Love’. If he is not able to offer a solution to the problem, he should cease spreading false rumours and instead use his influence to encourage all citizens, young and old, to be vaccinated.
