Jamaica lose 2-0 in CAC women’s beach volleyball
Jamaica women’s beach volleyball pair of Jasmine Kelly and Petal Smith suffered a similar fate as the men, as they lost 2-0 to Cuba at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, today.
The Jamaicans met Cuba’s Amanda Armenteros and Yenifer Rivera in the round of 16 phase and fought valiantly in the first set, but went down 21-15, followed by a 21-9 defeat in the second.
The Jamaican men’s pair of Ryck Webb and Mark Blake had earlier lost 2-0 to Mexicans Juan Virgen and Miguel Sarabia also in the round of 16.
