Woman's body found after St Mary house fire

The police are investigating a fire that reportedly claimed the life of a woman at her home in Highgate in St Mary early Saturday morning. 

She has been identified as Michelle Mills.

Residents reportedly saw fire coming from the house in Cromwelland district at about 3:17 a.m., and alerted the police and the local fire department. 

The police say the fire was extinguished, and during cooling-down exercise, Mill's charred remains were discovered. 

The scene was processed, and the remains were removed to the morgue for a post-mortem.
