THE GLEANER Company Ltd has unveiled its new book, Jamaica: 50 Golden Moments 1962-2012, to representatives of corporate Jamaica. The publication, a commemoration of Jamaica's achievements over the last 50 years since gaining Independence in 1962, is a hardcover coffee-table book of just under 200 pages.
It's not unusual for artists to weave social commentary into their work. But when the artists are a bunch of newcomers who are as bold as this lot, the art world is bound to take notice. That bunch is 45 final-year students of the School of Visual Art at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.

Jamaican artist Lennox Coke is one dynamic artist, whose works are currently on display at The Wyndham hotel, New Kingston. It's his second time enjoying the 'suite' life at Wyndham hotel.
