Stocks Round Up | JSE ends week on losing note

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Combined Index closed the week on a losing note on Friday.

The slow to moderate trading, ended with an advance/decline ratio of 49/47.

The JSE Combined Index declined by 377.10 points or 0.11 per cent, to close at 336,531.40

The JSE Main Market Index declined by 843.81 points or 0.26 per cent, to close at 322,530.46; while the Junior Market Index advanced by 44.82 points or 1.17 per cent, to close at 3,887.79.

The JSE USD Equities advanced by 4.90 points or 2.06 per cent, to close at 242.16.

  • JMMB Group 5.75% Cumul Redeem Prefs, up 12.63 per cent to close at $2.14

Losers

  • Sterling Inv USD, down 20.00 per cent to close at US$0.02.
  • JMMB Group 7.00% VR JMD Cr Prefs, down 16.67 per cent closing at $2.00
  • Berger, down 12.27 per cent to close at $7.08
  • MPC Caribbean Clean Energy, down 8.82 per cent to close at $64.74
  • IronRock Ins, down 6.98 per cent closing at $2.00

Market volume

19.59 million units valued at over $72.73 million.

Volume leaders were: Transjamaican followed by Wigton and Sagicor Select-Financial.
