Set in a seaside town in the south of Russia, The Golden Age is a satirical take on the political and cultural change in 1920s Europe.
The Golden Age cabaret is a popular nightly haunt where Rita, a young dancer, and her partner, Jacques, entertain. Rita is unaware of Jacques’ double life as Yashka, a gang leader of bandits, and when a young fisherman, Boris, falls in love with her, she finds herself torn between her love interests
