GG aims to raise funds to aid in life-saving training
Sir Clifford Campbell is on a mission to raise $2,000 to aid in special training for guards to learn life-saving procedures throughout the island. He urged the public to support the venture.

GG launches tag drive
His Excellency the Governor General Sir Clifford Campbell yesterday launched the first tag drive of the royal life-saving Society of Jamaica, at King’s House.
The tag drive has been launched in connection with 'Water Safety Month' for the purpose of raising funds to assist the work of the society in providing teacher training for guards and promoting general life-saving procedures throughout the island.
The drive is being held in collaboration with the society, the Youth Development Agency and the Beach Control Authority and will continue through to June 26.
A sum of $2,000 has been set by the committee as their target.
Sir Clifford, in launching the drive, wished its success and urged the support of the public.

Mr John Elliott, president of the society: Mr Larry Wirth, vice-president: Mr Owen Batcher, director of YDA: Mr Daniel Eason, YDA; Miss Weeda McCalla, YDA; and Mr Dudley Ainsworth from the royal life-saving society.
