WITH LEG AND CRUTCH: Carl Cunningham, 13, turns his handicap into an artistic triumph as he dances with little brother, ROCKY, 9, (not in picture), with crutches on floor temporarily. They won third prize in other acts.
HONOURABLE MENTION: George Dixon, who won three first and one second-place prize in earlier rounds, sang 'Only You', but only received honourable mention.
CHAMPION SONGBIRDS: Attired in picturesque red shirts THE CHARMERS (Roy Willis and Lloyd Tyrell) delight the audience with their first-place-winning 'Jeannie Girl'.
HE HAD THEM ROCKING: Tooting "Downbeat Special" on his "magic" alto- sax, LESTER STIRLING had the jampacked fans a-rocking and a-swaying. They gave him first prize by acclamation.

AN S.R.O. house stomped, jived, rocked, rolled and finally selected winners with tumultuous applause at the finals of the Majestic 'Opportunity Hour 1960-61", at the theatre on Friday, May 5, 1961. Biggest cheers went to The Charmers to give them first place in "singers group" and to saxman Lester Sterling for the top prize in "other acts". The show was presented by man-about-town compere, Vere Johns.
