Summon will to crush gun violence

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I was an ATF agent up to December 31, 2017, when I retired. My last four years were spent in Jamaica as a country attache dealing with firearm issues.
The answer to the island's firearm-related violence must come from within, that is, from Jamaicans. The police force and Government must come together to implement the changes. The United States Embassy cannot dictate or mandate that Jamaica adopt these suggestions.
