Holness and his minister of Wakanda
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Dear Minister of Wakanda,
Greetings to you from across the sea in that place called America.
I applaud you on upholding exactly what the Jamaica Labour Party, under the leadership of Andrew Holness, stands for.
After all, why should you resign your job, or take any form of accountability, when your leader cannot even publicly address what you have done?
You should be applauded for your role in the Petrojam saga, because if Audley Shaw can run up an $8.3-million phone bill; if Delano Seiveright can justify $8.9 million in travel expenses to woo tourists to Jamaica; if the prime minister himself can continually take flights using taxpayers' money and show nothing in return for it, then by GOD, as the hero of Wakanda, you should also be allowed to do as you please.
Quite honestly, if you had taken responsibility for your actions, and resigned from your lofty position, you would have gone against everything that the JLP stands for.
Mr Holness lacks the moral courage to publicly address the issue or fire you.
That the citizens of Jamaica sit by without demanding that you be fired or that you resign sends a clear message that they are not only proud of you, but that they also endorse your behaviour.
MICHELLE BRADSHAW
