FLOW phones down in Queensborough

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am having a serious problem with FLOW. I have the residential landline Browse and Talk package, but since September 9, 2018, my telephone has been DEAD.
I called the FLOW office, who sent a technician, and I was told that the problem is the damaged cables in the Queensborough, Kingston 19 area and that the matter would be rectified within 48 hours.
I checked with my neighbour and her phone is out as well. At the time of writing (today is October 5) the problem has not been resolved. No one at FLOW can give me a time frame as to when service will be restored.
