'Sign of the Times'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

It is possible that Jesus will make His descent in the Second City, Montego Bay? According to extra-biblical report, one should look up especially in these the last days as we experience the signs of the times.

With His first Advent, as told by prophets of old, it was fulfilled when wise men brought gifts of precious gold, frankincense, and myrrh. I really don't know the equivalent value of those first gifts, but this sign will cost $17 million.

It will cost $17 million for wise workers to bring blocks, cement, a few pieces of steel, and water as well as workmanship, to erect a mere four-foot structure in one of the busiest parts of the city.

It is rumoured that the possibility exists that a control tower will be placed atop the Sign of the Times as the one in proximity at Sangster is outdated. Christ surely must have a state-of-the-art control tower so that no one will miss His coming.

I am also hearing it being said that the prevalence of crashes will allow for crash bars around the Sign of the Times, an additional security feature to safeguarding this illustrious edifice.

Whatever the cost of the Sign of the Times, I hope it will generate much income as it is pretty close to the airport and it might well be the eighth wonder of the world.

I trust there will be enough room around it for visitors to take selfies and bask in this most extravagant monument that will be seen around the globe.
