Olympics a great respite from COVID stress

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Congrats to our entire team of athletes! What a remarkable show you put on for a grateful nation. This beats any grand gala! I hope the Government has put aside a commensurate reward for you all, and that whatever they had set aside in the beginning, after these performances, they went back in the treasury and brought out more of what they had tucked away.

For the rest of the world that thought the Olympics wouldn’t dazzle without our precious Usain Bolt, I am sure you are breathing a collective sigh of relief that the show still goes on.

Thanks to our athletic management team, as presumably you managed ‘behind the scenes’ issues particularly well and silenced the critics. Big up to the Jamaican coaches! And I must single out the GREAT STEPHEN FRANCIS!
