THE EDITOR, Madam:

Kindly allow me to publicly commend Inspector Maurice Amos and Sergeant Brooks of the Spalding Police Station, both of whom have been recently transferred. These two gentlemen had been a bastion of strength and effectiveness in the community of Spalding as it relates to good and effective policing.

As president of the Spalding Citizens’ Association, and through my interactions with Inspector Amos and Sergeant Brooks, they exhibited great relationship with the citizens. They led from the front, and the police at the Spalding station under their leadership showed tremendous respect towards the citizens. Many projects were undertaken in collaboration with the Citizens’ Association which we were able to complete with the help of Inspector Amos and Sergeant Brooks. They always made themselves available and took personal interest in these projects.

I would want to make special mention of the Citizens’ Association project where we raised funds for the mentally ill and assisted them. Both Inspector Amos and Sergeant Brooks were very supportive and involved with their team of police officers.

On behalf of the Citizens’ Association and the people of Spalding, I wish to thank these two gentlemen for their service to the Spalding community and wish them continued success in their new assignment. The word is always love!

ANDRE WELLINGTON

President
