Letter of the Day | Leonie Forbes will remain a treasure

THE EDITOR, Sir:

A theatrical voice, a dramatic spirit and a gifted soul has left the stage of this mortal life with encored admiration and we, the National Chorale of Jamaica, are witnessing, in music, the friendship and sisterhood of Leonie, who was birthed an only child but commanded the respect of countless siblings in the arts and other endeavours.

She was a kindred spirit in the performing arts and remains a treasure in the vault of classical and modern theatre as well as television, where generations of actresses, actors, playwrights, producers, directors, broadcasters, film-makers and others will go in search of her legacy of professionalism, inspiration, thespian integrity and sheer beauty.

Jamaica’s National Chorale salutes our sister, Leonie, with applauding voices, with songs of gratitude, and with anthems of faith.
