Assault rifle handed over in St Mary under amnesty
Yeeeah righht … keep taking Jamaicans (ones with actually sense) for a fool. Forty-odd people got murdered last week alone and u guys here having big announcement ‘bout gun amnesty working becaz one so called assault rifle got handed over? Then again, Jamaicans are really grateful, they accept every and any likkle effort by these officials. – @Shanzii Gordon
That’s only one of the probably hundreds that are out there. The public needs to be educated about the consequences whenever this amnesty ends. – @Dennis Forte
It’s all to show that they are having little success but nothing nuh guh suh. – @Steve Gabidon
So, after they said no guns turned in and the people started bashing the Government and saying how out of touch they’re with the people, immediately after a rifle was turned in ... . These people really take Jamaicans for fools. – @Kimberley Witter
Lies, lies, lies as always ... you offered money for them to take in guns and they never take in any, but now it’s amnesty. That means no money involved and you getting in guns? Hmmm! They really think we fool. – @Cheryl Smith
Let us hope others will follow and turn in the guns, many ppl afraid to do so still. Bcuz dem wanted by police and other gunmen. Dem hot so dem have to watch dem headback. – @Ann Reid
So why is everyone cheering that no guns are being handed over? If it’s even one gun, it’s one less. – @dominusdowner
They really think they can trick people. Why hand it over if you can call the police and get 500k. – @2ewsandgossiptalk
I saw when the security minister and about 13 other vehicles and police escort was heading around Junction today. Tom drink but tom nuh fool. Nobody nah give in ntn. – @original_harrow
Is it because the weapon was handed to them why they can’t show us? Usually they parade what they recovered, so …. – @9ine_ether
