Veterans needed

THE EDITOR, Sir:

One of the stalwarts of the West Indies cricket, Kieron Pollard, has announced his retirement from the Mumbai Indians of the Indian Premier League. However, Pollard is to continue as the batting coach of the MI. The West Indies legend Sir Michael Holding has openly expressed his disapproval of the T20 format of cricket. The need of the hour is to build up the ODI and Test squads of the home side with determination, and veterans like Pollard are expected to contribute to the cause.
