Be an angel for someone this Christmas
THE EDITOR, Madam:
Christmas is a very significant religious festival for most of us. It is a time of sharing and caring separate from the festivity and solemnity of the season.
Regardless of the challenging economic time, our spirit of giving should remain strong. Through all the difficult times, let us not waver in showing love and kindness towards each other. Let us affirm a life of compassion and empathy this Christmas and reignite the love in our homes, communities, and country.
We may not have much to give materially, but let us use our time, talent, and skills to help someone this Christmas. We can volunteer to cook for an elderly person or clean his/her house. We can partner with service clubs and community organisations to assist groups such as the mentally ill or physically challenged.
As a Christian believer, I want to reassure everyone of the life-changing power of love, which is the embodiment of Jesus’ life and Ministry on Earth.
As a community leader, I want to extend sincere and warm wishes to all Jamaicans for a happy, safe, and peaceful Christmas season, and a prosperous, productive and crime-free 2023.
Merry Christmas and happy new year when it comes everyone! The word is always love because God is love.
