Install moving walkway at NMIA

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I recently returned to the the island from an overseas trip to Europe. I noticed that the arrival and departure hallway leading from the entrance right to the immigration section of the Norman Manley International Airport is desperately in need of a moving walkway. This would help to take the load off passengers with their baggage.

Having such an investment in place, I believe, would be a convenience for the passengers and would more than likely increase visitor arrivals into the island. I realise that it would be expensive to undertake construction and installation of this walkway.

But I am sure there are people who would be willing to contribute to the construction of this moving walkway.
