Bring back unlimited soda refills

THE EDITOR, Madam:

This is an open letter to Restaurants of Jamaica (operator of KFC) and Restaurant Associates (operator of Burger King).

Having recently travelled to Europe, I noticed that the franchises there are offering customers unrestricted refills from their soda dispensers.

The onset of COVID-19 had caused restaurant operators to halt the practice of customers being able to refill from the machines, but now that the virus is on the decline and with the excessive heat we are experiencing, I believe Jamaican fast-food restaurants can lift that restriction and allow customers to once again refill from the soda dispensers.

I am sure Jamaicans would welcome the return of unlimited refills.
