GNoME’s AI-driven discovery of 2.2 million crystals positions Jamaica as a key player in supplying vital raw materials for superconductors and Li-Ion batteries.

The 380,000 stable crystals predicted by GNoME offer exciting possibilities for experimental synthesis, aligning with Jamaica’s abundant mineral resources and global aspirations in crystal synthesis. Minister Audley Shaw’s strategic vision focuses on expanding the minerals sector, particularly through high-purity limestone exploration, securing Jamaica’s relevance in AI-driven crystal discovery.

Jamaica’s exploration of underground metals like copper and gold ensures access to rare earth metals crucial for crystal synthesis, showcasing a commitment to sustainable resource use. Minister Shaw’s vision transcends economic gains, representing a move to secure Jamaica’s enduring role in global technological advancements.
