Competition, charity and good cheer filled the air on Sunday as the Sagicor Sigma Invitational Run got under way in New Kingston. Following the Corporate Team Bubble Run last week, organisers and participants of the Sagicor Foundation’s 24-year-old event were re-energised, ready for the road again, and had much to celebrate. Sagicor Foundation surpassed its fundraising target of $50 million and has so far amassed $52 million in donations for this year’s Sigma Run beneficiary – the Kingston Public Hospital. Familiar faces were out aplenty as participants took the double-loop race route in New Kingston. Something Extra was there to capture the highlights.
