SAINT star Brad Allen’s European fashion odyssey
Home on The Rock after a jam-packed, five-month working itinerary in Europe, SAINT International star Brad Allen is commanding attention in recently unveiled advertising campaigns for several co-ed and menswear labels. Allen’s regal likeness currently graces collections for the Turkish brands Belfor and Grimelange and ignites the latest e-commerce visuals for the high-end French brand Façonnable. Shuttling between Madrid and Istanbul for a raft of booked jobs, Allen was ecstatic to return to form after the pandemic had grounded his workflow for the better part of two years.
“I was in Turkey for two months and living there was a little challenging at first because I had to adjust to the new surroundings I was in,” the resurgent Allen told Living. “But it didn’t take too long for me to get used to their culture. I had to find out when it’s their prayer time and how many times they pray per day,” he explained of acclimating himself to the predominantly Muslim-populated territory.
The SAINT star hit the ground running with a multiplicity of editorial and campaign shoots across the transcontinental nation and counted Turkish coffee sips and frequent visits to Princess Island among his dearest memories of his stay. “I’m signed to Daman, which is the leading modelling agency there in the heart of modern Istanbul. The team is cool and have a great idea of how the market works,” Allen said. Of his time in Spain, where he’s on the active roster of Uno Models, the Jamaican fashion boldface kept busy with photo sessions for GQ Portugal and Esquire Germany and co-fronted both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter advertising campaigns for Façonnable, the luxury men’s and women’s clothing brand founded in Nice, France, by late master tailor Jean Goldberg in 1950.
With quite the list of triumphs to savour at the moment, Allen is nowhere close to feeling fully accomplished yet. “There are a lot of things I haven’t achieved as yet but let’s just say I’m working on getting some fragrance campaigns,” Allen said, adding that “my main priority over the next three years is to buy my first home and my agent Deiwght Peters is pushing me in that direction.”
