Celebrating Success
The Elaine Bryan Foundation recently held its five-year celebration at the Buckhead Ritz Carlton in Atlanta, Georgia. Representatives from various counties, countries, organisations, businesses and sponsors attended this sold-out event, held under the theme 'Financial Freedom through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics' (STEAM).
Chaired by WSBTV Channel 2 reporter Rachel Stockman, the keynote speaker was Dr Anil Ramnanan, consul general of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, who delivered a dynamic presentation on education. Huntley Brown, concert pianist, captivated the audience which requested several encores, and Kathy Reed from Leadership Sandy Springs also presented, as did Alrene Barr, director of international business, who represented Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Four students were presened with Microsoft scholarships and gifts by their representative Lavinya Williams while Gregory Bryan, vice-chair of the foundation, presented the gate prize, courtesy of Couples San Souci, to Dr Michele Sewell.
