Mayberry supports retired nurses' luncheon
The Retired Nurses' Association Christmas Luncheon held last Tuesday at the Alhambra Inn, was a huge success with a large turnout of guests.
The Nurses Association of Jamaica came into being on July 19th, 1946 as a result of the vision, determination and hard work of a small group of nurses who recognised the urgent need for improving standards of nursing education and service in Jamaica. It has continued to grow significantly, with major recognition from the Government of Jamaica. Mayberry Investments Ltd, too, recognised this vision and came on board as one of the major sponsors of the Christmas luncheon to fete the nurses.
"We appreciate the unwavering efforts of our nurses and the tremendous role that this organisation has played in the general well-being and health of the population. We are happy to be a part of the event," said Anika Smith, assistant vice-president of marketing at Mayberry Investments.
