Weekend works to slow Mandela traffic
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that a section of Nelson Mandela Highway, will be closed today at 10 p.m. until midnight on Sunday, March 20. This closure is to facilitate pipe-laying works for the connection of a sewage main and water pipe across the roadway, in the section between the Highway 2000 overpass and the Ferry Police Station.
Vehicular traffic will be diverted onto newly constructed carriageways adjacent to the highway, so as to minimise disruption to traffic flow.
The NWA is advising motorists using the roadway during the period of closure to proceed with caution and to heed posted warning signs.
