UPDATE: Cop, civilian to appear in court next week for murder of policewoman

The policeman and the civilian charged in relation to the murder of Corporal Judith Williams are to appear in court next week.

Twenty seven year-old Constable Gladstone Williams and 26-year-old Jessie Anderson of Seaview Gardens in St Andrew, are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of a firearm.

Corporal Williams was shot six times by armed men about 6:30 on the morning of April 28 at a bus stop on Brae Street in Dunkirk as she made her way to work at the Police Commissioner's office.

She died in hospital a day later.
