The Clarendon police are investigating the death of a man in Gimme-me-bit, in the parish, whose body was discovered along a dirt track close to the Vernamfield airstrip yesterday.
The man has been identified as 21-year-old Allister Henry otherwise called Bullkin of a Rocky Point address in the parish.
The police say they were summoned after a passerby stumbled upon Henry's bullet-riddled body yesterday morning.
Investigators are trying to determine whether Henry's death is linked to an incident where several residents in the area reportedly heard gunshots on Saturday night.
