UPDATE: Man shot and injured in MoBay

A man was shot and injured this morning by police personnel who had gone to execute a warrant on him in the Dean’s Lane area of Montego Bay, St James.
The man allegedly pulled a firearm on the police who responded.
The injured man was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was admitted.
The police say a gun was found on the scene.
The shooting led to the closure of Barnett Street, the main access point for downtown Montego Bay.
CORRECTION: An earlier report stated that another murder was committed in Montego Bay this morning, this information was, however, incorrect as no one was killed.
