Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, will today tour the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston where four babies recently died as a result of an infection.
The babies contracted the bacterial infection sepsis from their mothers during delivery.
A total of seven babies were infected and four died.
The health ministry says the tour, which is set to start at 10 this morning, will focus on the key areas including the labour ward.
At a press conference last Thursday health officials indicated that several measures would be implemented to minimise the transmission of infections, especially to babies, in hospitals.
