#LocalGovtElection: Hagley Gap, St Thomas residents crossing river to vote

Some electors in the St Thomas Western division of Cedar Valley in the community the Hagley Gap community have been trekking through rivers in spate to get to polling stations.

The Negro and White rivers have overflowed their banks following heavy rains over the past two weeks.

Electoral officials say despite the challenges, the polls opened on time.

They also say voting is being slowed at some polling stations as persons have turned up without identification.

Meanwhile, slow voting is also under mostly overcast conditions in St. Ann.
