Ganja valued at almost $7 million has been seized by members of the Police Narcotics Division during an operation in Whitehouse, Westmorland.
It is reported that about 10:45 p.m on Monday, the cops were on an operation in Whitehouse when they attempted to intercept two motor vehicles.
The drivers of both vehicles, however, sped away before abandoning the vehicles on a minor road in the community.
The police say a search of the motor cars revealed 34 knitted bags containing 324 parcels of ganja weighing 1,697 pounds.
Both motor cars, a Toyota Fielder and a Toyota Corolla, were also seized.
No arrest was made in connection with the find but investigations are continuing.
