A section of the new traffic court which began operations at Sabina Park in Kingston six months ago was damaged by fire this morning.

According to reports, the fire was discovered in a circuit box shortly after 11 o'clock.

As a result of the fire, a number of cases have been adjourned, law enforcement sources revealed.

It's reported that the electrical wiring throughout the building has been damaged and that firefighters are still at the scene conducting their investigations.

"The entire building will have to be re-wired," one source predicted.
