Section of Little London roadway to close tomorrow
A section of the Little London roadway in Westmoreland will be closed to vehicular traffic for several hours tomorrow.
The National Works Agency (NWA) says the roadway will be closed between 9am and 2pm in the vicinity of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Janel Ricketts, community relations officer at the NWA's Western Region Office, says the closure is to facilitate the placement of a culvert across the roadway.
According to Ricketts, the works form part of efforts to rehabilitate the roadway between Little London and Grange Hill.
She says the project is being undertaken through the Major Infrastructure Development Programme and involves drainage improvement, the reshaping and resurfacing of the roadway and the construction of sidewalks.
Ricketts say motorists may use the alternate route through Delveland and urged them to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
