Fatal crashes in Westmoreland

The nation's road fatalities have continued to climb with the deaths of two persons along the Whitehouse main road in Westmoreland last night.
They have been identified as 25-year-old Andre Lawrence and 17-year-old Chrisan Perry, both of Petersville in the parish.
Two other persons were also injured in the crashes.
The crashes involved two motorcycles and two motorcars.
It's reported that a group of motorcyclists was travelling towards Whitehouse around 8 o' clock when two of the riders crashed into two motorcars which were travelling in the opposite direction.
The drivers of both motorcars and the two motorcyclists were injured.
They were taken to the Black River Hospital where Lawrence and Perry were pronounced dead while the others were treated and released.
The Whitehouse Police are investigating.
Following news of the crashes, a large group of residents from Petersville converged on the hospital.
