Hello Mi Neighbour | Reaping and sowing
Hello mi neighbour! Every so often this happens somewhere: a man sees something which belongs to another, decides to take it without permission, gets arrested for the act and ends up in jail.
This incident leaves family members sad, with some even sick unto death. In another scenario, a man decides to go into farming: he prepares the soil, sows cabbage, callaloo, chocho and carrot seeds. At the end of the day, he reaps an abundance of cabbage, callaloo, chocho and carrots, and makes many people happy!
We have heard it said numerous times that for every decision made and each action taken we are sowing seeds from which we reap a harvest later on in life. It is wise, therefore, to ensure that today's actions lead to results of which we can be proud tomorrow.
And we are aware that due to the seed of imperfection found in every human being, we are apt to make mistakes as we engage life. But we press on.
Seeds of greatness
Alongside the seed of imperfection planted in us, is a seed of greatness to be nurtured through reading, prayer, hard work, discipline, and so on. People who do not pay attention to this seed of greatness and the means by which it grows and produces fruit invariably bear 'bad fruits' and end up on the wrong side of the fence, many times, only to become nuisance to others!
So what are we talking about here? The process of sowing and reaping. The process of sowing and reaping is a universal phenomenon in which everyone is engaged, consciously or unconsciously. It's the actions/non-actions we take, the decisions and the careless mistakes we make that constitute the sowing and ultimately influence the harvest we reap: the outcomes of our daily activities.
As we nurture the seed of greatness, it is imperative that we constantly clear away weeds like bitterness, covetousness, revenge, envy and the likes from our internal garden. Because the seeds that we sow determine what we reap, we must ensure that we sow good seeds 24 x 7 under all circumstances. This means that we should not repay evil with evil as is commonly practiced, no matter the temptation, but instead, overcome evil with good. Yes it's possible!
There is the erroneous belief that a man who repays evil for evil is not sowing bad seeds against himself but merely establishing personal satisfaction. Well truth be told, he is ignorantly sowing bad seeds against himself which produce a harvest of evil down the road. The universal law of sowing and reaping ensures that those who sow bad seeds against you, reap a harvest of bad stuff, but if you sow good seeds in return, like kindness and forgiveness and good wishes, you will reap a harvest of good stuff. Emphasising: it is what YOU sow that YOU reap.
Until next time, do good under all circumstances and good will follow you under all circumstances and please help someone from list below.
Have a good day.
