The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) says 20,097 persons have been added to the latest voters’ list which was published yesterday.

At the same time the EOJ says the names of 3,182 persons, including 2,415 deceased, have been removed from the list.

As a result, it says as at November 30, 2018, a total of 1,934,860 Jamaicans are registered to vote.

There were 1,917,945 eligible voters on the previous list, which was published on May 31, this year.

The EOJ says identification cards for voters added to the latest list are scheduled to become available by the middle of next month and should be collected by electors at their respective EOJ constituency office.

It also reminded that voters’ identification cards with a 2017 expiry date are valid until December 31, next year.
