Guns seized in St James, six arrested

The St James Police are reporting that they seized three firearms and over 30 assorted rounds of ammunition on Monday.
They say that a team conducted an operation at a premises in York Bush district where they seized one 9 millimetre Taurus pistol with a magazine containing fourteen 9 millimetre rounds, a Browning 9 millimetre pistol with a magazine containing ten 9 millimetre rounds and six .38 cartridges.
Six persons were taken into custody in relation to the seizure.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
Meanwhile, the police say another operation took place in Glendevon and a disassembled nine millimetre Beretta pistol was seized.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
