Repairs on 33-inch water main along Mandela Highway to be completed this afternoon

Published:Sunday | February 3, 2019 | 12:00 AM

The National Water Commission (NWC) says repairs on the 33-inch transmission main that runs along Mandela Highway into the Corporate Area should be completed this afternoon.

The water utility says the repairs were originally scheduled to be completed this morning, but there were onsite challenges that have significantly slowed the progress of the team.

Consequently, it has revised the completion time to 4:00 p.m. today

Areas such as Spanish Town Road, Duhaney Park, Cooreville Gardens, Marcus Garvey Drive and sections of downtown Kingston are still without water and the NWC is urging customers to be patient.
