Corrections Commissioner Ina Hunter reassigned

Commissioner of Corrections Ina Hunter is to demit office tomorrow.

She has been assigned to the Executive Direction and Administration section of the Ministry of National Security to assume the newly created post of Chief Programme Officer.

Hunter made the disclosure in a memo to staff today.

“It was a pleasure to serve at the Department of Correctional Service for approximately 20 years and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in another capacity,” said Hunter.

“Thank you for your support and best wishes,” she further said.

Hunter did not indicate the reason for the transfer.
