Men shot and injured at Cornwall Regional Hospital, police seeking attacker

Detectives attached to the Freeport Police in Montego Bay, St James are searching for an armed construction worker who shot and injured two other workers on the compound of the Cornwall Regional Hospital this morning.

It is reported that about 11:30 a.m., the men, who are employed to a construction company carrying out repairs at the hospital, got involved in a dispute. 

The accused reportedly ran from the hospital compound to the neighbouring community of Mount Salem and allegedly returned with a firearm.

He reportedly opened fire hitting the two men.

The injured men were rushed by colleagues to the hospital’s emergency unit where they were admitted in serious condition.
