Manchester farmer charged for illegal possession of firearm

A Manchester farmer has been arrested and charged after he was allegedly held with an illegal firearm in the parish.
The police say Michael Hurst, of Melrose district, has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Hurst is booked to appear before the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday.
The police report that the firearm, containing four rounds of ammunition, was found during the search of a vehicle along the Royal Flat main road on Thursday.
