#JaVotes2020 | PNP hoping to hold on to Hanover Western
Voters in Hanover Western had heaping praises for the Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ), who they say have made the voting process smooth and seamless.
Provisions were made for the elderly to be placed at the front of the lines, thereby reducing their wait times.
The candidates, Ian Hayles of the People's National Party and Tamika Davis of the Jamaica Labour Party, both expressed confidence that they will be victorious at the close of polls.
The PNP has had a 31-year strong hold on the constituency.
Hayles, who is going for his fourth term as member of parliament, turned back the JLP's Brian Wallace, 6,829 to 5,358 in the 2016 general election.
