Cops hunt attackers after Gregory Park man shot dead

Investigators in the St Catherine South Police Division are still searching for two men who shot and killed a man along the main road in Gregory Park in Portmore on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Maurice Hoyte, otherwise called 'Cornbread', who is unemployed and of a Train Line address in Gregory Park, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 9:45 a.m., Hoyte was walking along the roadway when, upon reaching a wholesale and retail store, he was pounced upon by two men.
The men reportedly brandished handguns and shot him repeatedly in the upper body.
His attackers then escaped.
Hoyte was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine where he was pronounced dead.
