Fire at Central Sorting Office building in Kingston

Operations at the Central Sorting Office building on South Camp Road in Kingston have been disrupted following a fire this morning.
No injuries were reported.
However, some persons who appeared to be sick due to the fire were assisted to the nearby Kingston Public Hospital.
The fire is suspected to have started at the back of the building and then worked its way inside.
An alarm was raised and firefighters were quick on the scene.
The blaze was extinguished.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated.
Meanwhile, the vehicle transporting the sick persons to hospital was involved in crash along North Street.
The police were called to the scene.
The ill persons were taken to hospital while the matter was being dealt with.
