St Catherine minors, adults on gun charges remanded
Three minors and two adults charged in relation to the seizure of guns in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine were remanded when they appeared before the parish court on Tuesday.
Kemar Omar Grant and Sheena Price, along with the juveniles, are charged with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and being a member of a criminal organization.
Parish court judge Kahon Lamey ordered that the matter be transferred to the Gun Court for a hearing on February 7.
The accused are before the court arising from a January 21 incident where three loaded pistols were seized along the Old Harbour Bay main road in St Catherine.
The police said a team went to the area in response to a report about explosions.
A motor car with occupants aboard was intercepted.
