Men’s Prayer Conference encourages a return to the altar
MEN ARE being urged to return to the altar to worship God, and this is the focus of the Kingdom Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries Inc’s Men’s Prayer Conference, set for Thursday, February 29 at the church, located at Circle B Farm in Roadside district, Lewis, St Ann.
The theme of the conference is ‘Return to the Altar’, and although it’s a men’s prayer conference, host Pastor Paul Norman said women are welcome to attend.
The one-day event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Pastor Odeen Clarke from Canada as the guest speaker.
The call for men to return to the altar is timely, as there has been a constant sidelining, albeit sometimes self-inflicted, of Jamaican men over the years, in several areas of life including education, religion, employment, and moral standards.
The event is the first of seven major activities that the Kingdom Lighthouse is putting on for the year.
Other events are: Gospel Songfest on March 16; Youth Week, May 6 to 10; Kingdom Men Empowerment Conference, July 18-19; Holy Convocation, August 12-16; Kingdom Women Empowerment Conference, Oct 21-23; and Church Anniversary (fourth year), Dec 7.
