Former Portmore gas station worker accused of stealing over $250,000 remanded
A former worker at a gas station in Portmore, St Catherine accused of stealing more than $250,000 was remanded in the parish court today because the case file is incomplete.
Charged with larceny as a servant and accessing a computer for the purpose of committing an offence is 26-year-old Chevrol Osbourne of Garveymeade in the municipality.
He was ordered to return to court on March 21.
Allegations are that in January the owner of a gas station in Portmore conducted an audit of his business which revealed that for that month a total of $250,873 was unaccounted for.
A further investigation revealed that Osbourne allegedly forged a code to access a phone used for transactions and stole the money.
A report was made to the police and following an investigation he was arrested and charged.
